Agriculture Department Orders Largest-Ever Beef Recall
The U.S. Section of Agriculture on Sunday arranged the callback of 143 000 000 pounds of beef cattle from a Southern California abattoir that is the subject of an animal-abuse probe.
The callback will affect beef merchandises dating to Feb. 1, 2006, that came up from Chino-based Westland/Earmark Meat Co.
